Extra-Curricular Programme: The Edge

PiXL Edge

This acdemic year we are proud to be working as part of the PiXL network to offer the "PiXL Edge" programme.

The PiXL Edge programme is a framework that schools use to accredit students for the extra curricular contributions that they make throughout their time at school.  It accredits students across 5 key skills (Leadership, Organisation, Resiliance, Initiative and Communication).

Students can work at their own pace to achieve targets they set for themselves during mentor time, and targets and objectives are monitored and signed off by their mentor throughout the academic year.

Aylesford School – Sports College also operates an extensive extra-curricular programme to our students who are actively encouraged by their teachers and mentors to take part in as many of these opportunities as possible.

A range of different clubs are available with a large number of different subjects offering activities for students. Clubs at Aylesford School - Sports College are fully inclusive and all students are welcome to attend regardless of ability or experience.

Students also have the opportunity to represent the school through the extra-curricular activity programme. Students are able to compete in all local leagues across a range of sports and age groups against other local schools and are very successful, often picking up accolades throughout the year for their sporting achievements.

If there are any questions regarding the extra curricular programme or the PiXL Edge programme, then please contact dave.wright@aylesford.kent.sch.uk.
