We appreciate that the transition from Primary School to Secondary School can be daunting experience for both students and their parents/carers. Therefore we encourage year 6 pupils and their families to take full advantage of the transition events that we offering in order to support the transition process. This  includes our Family Fun Day taking place at Aylesford School, after school taster sessions, open evening and  tours of the school that take place every Tuesday morning with myself or one of the Deputy Head Teachers.

Family Fun Day – Saturday 8th September 2018

We have a Family Fun Day taking place on Saturday 8th September 2018 where as a family; you can take part in one of our taster sessions. For those of you interested in sport, why not try our trampolining equipment or our Climbing wall or perhaps family rugby with our award winning PE teacher. We are also offering floristry for beginners, science experiments, drama and team building or maybe you would like to try ‘Cooking with Kenmure’ with Mr Kenmure; our amazing food & cookery teacher.

 Year 6 After School Monday Taster Sessions 3:45pm -4:45pm

We will be delivering a number of taster sessions that will run during the first two terms in September. This will commence on Monday 10th September.  This will allow you to see what it is like to study at Aylesford School. These sessions are likely to be very popular so we will carry them out in two cycles so that students have an opportunity to try everything. We also encourage parents to stay in our canteen whilst their children are trying one of our sessions, as they will have a chance to enjoy refreshments with myself and the Year 7 Progress Leader. You should read the information below which provides details on the sessions including how to book onto them.

Open Evening

Aylesford School will be hosting an Open Evening on Tuesday 2nd October; 5:30pm-8:00pm. This provides an opportunity for year 5 and year 6 students and their parents/carers to get a taste of all the wonderful things Aylesford School has to offer. You will have an opportunity to meet the Head Teacher, the Senior Leadership Team, as well as our teaching staff and some of our students. Departments will invite you into their classrooms, where you can explore the amazing work that students have produced and witness how we promote and encourage progress from all of our students.

Tours of the School

You might want to come and have a look at Aylesford School on a normal school day so we give students and parents/carers the opportunity to have a  tour of the school with myself or one of the Deputy Head Teachers every Tuesday morning 9:00am-10:00am starting from Tuesday 11th September 2018.
