Personal Development Student Checklist

 

 

As part of a student’s learning experience, it is important that they take responsibility for their time at Aylesford School Sixth Form. Below is a student checklist of experiences and actions they will need to undertake to ensure their success in our Sixth Form. All students are expected to complete the checklist below.

Able to present referencing in your work in the Harvard Style of referencing

Is self-disciplined in keeping our sixth form facilities clean after use

Is able to show resilience by finding solutions to problems, rather than just focusing on the problem

Has a diary to log all deadlines, exams and important key school dates.

Motivation

Is dressed appropriately, in smart office wear, every day

Respect

Often helps out our school community by attending important whole school events, such as open days etc.

Follows the 3 school rules of being Ready, Safe and Respectful every day.

Know your school email log on details and use them regularly to communicate with teachers about your studies.

Have a reliable method to save all your work so that it does not get lost and back this up so you always have a copy

Always aim for an attendance of above 96% and to inform the sixth form team of any absences using the correct procedure

Supports other students through activities such as peer mentoring

Often contributes towards charity events in the school

Show My Homework

 

Show My Homework is an online tool that students will need to use in order to be successful. Teachers are expected to set regular homework on this platform to support students with their studies.
