PixL Curve Examinations

In June of last year, students in Year 10 sat exams in Maths as part of the PixL Curve.  This was a national exam used by schools to give their students an indication of their performance in relation to the new GCSE exams which will be graded from 9-1.

Students in Year 11 will again have an opportunity to sit PixL Curve Examinations in English Language and Mathematics in term 3.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to practice exams in their cores subjects which will be very similar to the exams they undertake in the summer.

Teachers will mark the exams and the results will be sent off to the PixL organisation for analysis.  Students will then be provided with detailed feedback on their performance which will help them with final preparations for the real GCSE exams.

The dates for the exams are as follows:

Monday 27th February 2017 – PixL Curve English Language Paper 1

Tuesday 28th February 2017 – PixL Curve Mathematics Paper 1

Wednesday 1st March 2017 – PixL Curve English Language Paper 2

Friday 3rd March 2017 – PixL Curve Mathematics Paper 2

Monday 6th March 2017 – PixL Curve Mathematics Paper 3

Students have been preparing for these exams in lessons and students should approach them with a determination to do their best and, therefore, prepare thoroughly.  We have provided some revision materials below including practice questions.
