All students in our school study an ambitious curriculum that aims to provide them with strong foundations, in order that they develop a passion for learning and are able to contribute to society in a meaningful way, undertaking employment in roles that may not yet exist.
The curriculum includes all content for skills and knowledge to progress to further
education or employment, as prescribed by the Course Curriculum and Exam board specification for KS5. There is also significant enrichment added to the curriculum
in both years, as seen on the learning journey.
The curriculum is sequenced to gain knowledge and skills incrementally through the synoptic nature of the course, whilst building confidence in understanding
theoretical concepts and their application to real world criminal justice system.
Students experience elements of psychology, law and sociology which fosters critical thinking and problem-solving. Students develop curiosity, resilience and an appreciation for criminal justice within society through the use of authentic case studies. All students are supported to achieve their potential and develop valuable transferable skills for whichever field they go into.
