Aylesford School celebrates strong post-16 results

Aylesford School is celebrating the achievements of its Year 13 students following the publication of this summer’s post-16 examination results.

The school recorded encouraging outcomes across several vocational and applied subjects, continuing to develop an area of growing strength within its sixth-form provision.

Students made particularly strong progress in Forensic Science and Sport, with positive Value Added outcomes also achieved in Business and Psychology. Sociology students made positive progress, while those completing the Extended Project Qualification achieved excellent results.

These outcomes demonstrate the value of Aylesford School’s broad and inclusive post-16 curriculum, which provides students with practical, academic and career-focused pathways suited to their individual ambitions.
A number of students are going on to Universities up and down the country to study Journalism,  Business and Marketing, Nursing and Psychology. We also have students who are going on to do Apprenticeships in becoming a Paramedic, Social work, Primary School Teaching and Plumbing and Heating,

“I am extremely proud of our Year 13 students and everything they have achieved. These results reflect their determination, resilience and commitment, as well as the support provided by our dedicated sixth-form and teaching teams.

“We are particularly pleased with the positive progress achieved across several of our vocational and applied courses. These qualifications enable students to develop valuable knowledge, skills and experience while preparing for university, apprenticeships and employment.

“Our sixth form is growing at pace, and we are excited about its future. We remain committed to providing a supportive, ambitious environment in which every student is known, encouraged and given the opportunity to succeed.”
